Resumption of Airside Drivers Tests and Familiarisations

Jandakot Airport Holdings Pty Ltd (JAH) is seeking to resume Airside Drivers tests and familiarisations.  In doing so, we are acutely aware that there is currently a virulent, global pandemic.  It is vital for the ongoing operation of Jandakot Airport that our staff are not exposed.

Whilst we are doing well (comparatively) in WA; it is important to remember that within a workplace both the employer and employee are required to (as far as practicable) maintain a working environment where we are not exposed to health risks.  This includes employees (and contractors) being at risk of contracting viruses such as COVID-19 / Coronavirus.

This being the case, we also recognise that industry needs to maintain / upgrade airside drivers.

If you wish to complete your Airside Drivers Test and/or Familiarisation, please review Safety Alert 2020-07, sign that you agree to the conditions and email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

Regional Travel

Dear Aircraft Operator’s

An exemption process has now been implemented for intrastate travel (the process is the same for interstate) as follows:

Go to and select the COVID-19 travel advice link, under the heading “How do I apply for an exemption” there is a link to the G2G PASS website where a traveller (Pilot and passengers) can apply for an exemption and this will provide them with a QR type code that can be scanned at any travel checkpoint by Police.

Please refer to the signed copy of the Prohibition of Regional Travels Directions for your information.

Regional District Superintendents and their management teams will conduct random checks within the regions to check on the validity of the travel to ensure pilots comply with these directions.

Key Message: The onus is on the pilot and any person flying to another region within the definition of the above directions.

It is an offence to fail to comply with any of these directions, punishable by a fine of up to $50,000 for individuals and $250,000 for bodies corporate.

If you have any general queries please go to or The State Public Information Line by telephone on 13COVID.
