Airport Safety

Airport Safety is paramount in all operations at Jandakot, and is supported by comprehensive airside rules and regulations and the team of Airport Services Officers. The following essential safety rules apply, and are enforceable by fines or by removal from airport property.

  • You must obey all speed limits and parking restrictions within the airport
  • No seat no ride on any type of vehicle
  • Vehicles must give way to moving aircraft and be aware of safety distances when driving near parked and refuelling aircraft
  • Drivers must not drive on the manoeuvring area unless the driver holds an appropriate authority to drive airside and the vehicle has an authority for airside access
  • Any accidents which cause personal or property damage should be reported to the Duty Operations Officer
  • Airside is a NO SMOKING area - this includes inside vehicles

JAH produces a detailed guide to safety on the airports and all airport users should read the Airside Vehicle Control Handbook (PDF 831.4 KB)
